America Recycles Day

November 15 was America Recycles Day and Woodward Academy was recognized with the "2014 Outstanding Business / Workplace Waste Reduction and Recycling Award" by the Boone County Recycling Center. This past year, both students and staff have been involved in helping WA make a more concerted effort to reduce waste by recycling cans and paper.

According to the official website, events are being hosted across the United States to raise awareness on the benefits of recycling. The 15th is only "One day to educate. One day to motivate. One day to make recycling bigger and better 365 days a year." Woodward Academy was honored to receive the award and to be recognized as a leader in Boone county.
